Spring Break Pause, Strong Momentum, and One Last Call to Partner
It’s Spring Break, which means we’re taking a short pause from practices and games this week. While the fields may be quiet, it’s a great moment to reflect on just how far our club has come this season—and what’s still ahead.
For 2026, the City of Rio Rancho Rugby Club has reached 118 youth registrations, a major milestone for youth rugby in New Mexico. That growth spans every level of our program:
- 28 athletes in Flag Rugby (U6–U10)
- 15 athletes in Middle School Rugby, competing in 7s and 10s
- 9 athletes in High School Girls Rugby (7s)
- 23 athletes in High School Boys Rugby, competing in 10s and 15s—our first return to 15s since COVID
We’re incredibly excited about the momentum and development happening across the board.
Recently, our High School Girls traveled to Show Low, Arizona, to compete in a round‑robin tournament against Tucson, Red Mountain, and Phoenix High School. Despite an early start, the girls played some of their best rugby of the season—showcasing growth, confidence, and composure against strong competition.

We’re also proud to recognize several of our High School Boys who were selected to the New Mexico All‑State 15s Team, competing against Colorado’s Parker Titans and delivering standout performances:
